Can baptism save us?
Matthew 3 1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. 13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Luke 3:16-17 16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
John 3:5-7 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Acts 1:3-8 3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 2:38-41 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Acts 8:36-39 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 11:16-18 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? 18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
No, baptism alone cannot save us. Only Jesus Christ can save us. These verses clearly prove that you have to have repented of your sins to be saved. Just because one is baptized doesn't mean they are saved. In fact, the condemned man to the right of Jesus on the cross believed on Him, but he was not baptised. Jesus, in fact, that he will be with Him in Paradise. To be baptized, either in Spirit or immersed in water, one has to be saved. There is no verse which says that one who has been baptized in water has been sprinkled with water. Jesus was baptized in water because the Holy Spirit hasn't yet come to the believers. One has to be a repentant believer in order to receive the Holy Spirit. This means that the Holy Spirit comes upon the believer and that He was promised to the Church. This does not rule out water baptism. The Bible does not state anything against water baptism. In fact, the Bible has much to say about water baptism. Water baptism is because of the remission of the believer's sins. The Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8 was baptized in water after he repented. Water baptism is also a public confession of the believer's newfound faith, "For you were baptised into union with Christ.." (Galatians 3:27) Hopefully this explanation has helped to clear up one's misconception about baptism. If you haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I ask that you pray this prayer or one similar to this one in your own words: Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you died on the cross for me and rose on the third day. I confess that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I receive you as Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me, In Jesus' name, Amen.

Black History Month
I understand why Black History Month was created. Black History has been distorted, and either left out of textbooks or relegated to the farthest reaches of our textbooks. Racism is a sin, plain and simple. There is nothing godly about uprooting, theft, hatred, murder, or rape. This is a part of our history. But God has a lot to say about the wicked and ungodly. Read the books of Psalms, Proverbs, and Revelations. All throughout the Bible, God's people were oppressed and the African-American can relate. The ancestors of many people in the Americas, Europe, and Africa were enslaved. Religion has played a role in the lives of the oppressed. They believed in God. They believed in a better life in Heaven. Furthermore, they believed in liberty and salvation.
But there is so much more to Black History, but also to the History of all of us. There are monarchs, kings, queens, and common folk. All of us belong to the human race. That is the only true race. The so-called Black race is a diverse race of different cultures from Africa, America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. The American in general is a mixed descendant of people from Ham, Japheth, and Shem. Race in America is classified differently from that in the rest of the world, including the Middle East. It is classified according to demonic-inspired 16th century rules that have no true biblical basis whatsoever. People were known by their nationality, not skin, eye, or hair color. Jesus was not considered black, white, etc. In his human form he would have been considered a Hebrew, a Nazarene.
The history of anyone should not be left out, distorted with lies, or denigrated. God created each of us with a purpose. Though most people regardless of race will never be written in the history books, we are all a part of history, the history of the world. God will judge all of us one day, whether you consider yourself black, white, bi-racial, or mixed. We will all have to stand before God and give an account of our history and what we have all done with our lives. There is much history in the Bible and in our families, so history is important. We need to tell the truth. All of us need to know the truth and know our history. We all need to learn from our past sins. We all need to know that we are all important and that history is important to God. Consider how he refers to saving the Israelite people from slavery in Eqypt and all He has done for them. History does have its purpose whether it is genealogical or spiritual.
Verses to read: Genesis 10, 1 Chr. 4:40, Judges 17:6, Acts 22:28, the creation of the first century church in Acts 1-4, John 16:20, John 5, 1 John, Psalm 78:51, Deut 17:18-20, 2 Sam 5:3, Job 5:17, James 5:11.
Black History Fact
The history of black African peoples can be found in the Bible such as the founding of the first century church, and the Ethiopian baptized by Phillip.Africans have played roles even in secular history as rulers, monarchs, spiritual leaders, and warriors.
Black History Controversy
Cleopatra was not a black woman. She was the last ruler of the Ptolymec line in Egypt. The Ptolymies were a Macedonian people, who were Japhetic.

First Century Church...examination of the Book of Acts
We in the 21st century ought to follow the examples of the church of the First Century. This is not to criticize or lump together the entire modern church, but after 21 centuries, there need to be some changes made if the church wants to be the True Church God intended us to be. This is not to say that the church was perfect back then nor did I say that we today are all hypocrites. This is to say, however, that there are many things that stand out in the Book of Acts that we could do today.
The biggest problem with the 21st century church is a lack of unity. Churches for the last few centuries have been divided on the basis of denomination, race, color, and language. This is not what God intended. In fact, two of the first meetings of new believers fellowshipping was made up of different nationalities of people, who were all baptized in the name of Jesus. Proof of this is written in Acts 13, which states: 1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. During the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, the Holy Spirit fell upon believers of various cultures from various parts of the world. Sadly many people in the Body of Christ would not or do not worship in brotherhood with a person of another race or color anywhere.
This brings to mind another problem within the modern church: a lack of love and forgiveness. It is normal not to equate murder with adultery, but both are sins. In the Bible, there are only one of two places where we will end up: Heaven and Hell. In Acts 9, Saul (or Paul) was converted. He has been forgiven of being responsible for the deaths of many believers.
Many people would not forgive one who has done such horrible acts. We can't forgive one and then forgive someone else. Nor should we expect to be forgiven by God if we can't forgive someone. There is so much hatred and hyprocrisy in the church, it is no wonder that most non-believers see Christians as hypocrites. We need to follow the example of Ananias in verses 10-16: "10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. 13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake." Many today would either hesitate or wouldn't even obey Jesus' word to Ananias. It is natural that he would have a concern about Saul because of the crimes he committed. However, God also commanded us to love our enemies.
However, in Acts 10, Peter realizes how wrong he is to keep the law about Jews and non-Jews meeting together: "28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?" Even though it was written into law during the Old Testament, even God's law has been misinterpreted. It was not intended to justify prejudice, but to keep the Jewish people holy, from the influence of nearby pagan cultures. However, people today use God's law to justify all types of evil, just as the Pharisees did 2000 years ago.

It was not intended to justify prejudice, but to keep the Jewish people holy, from the influence of nearby pagan cultures. However, people today use God's law to justify all types of evil, just as the Pharisees did 2000 years ago. Keeping that in mind. We have too many manmade traditions that are of ill effect. These manmade traditions do nothing to edify the believer or the Body the Christ. All they do is further divide the Body of Christ. Much of this comes from either misinterpreting the law or unconfessed sins.
One example of this is miracles. Many people question if miracles still happen today. This should not happen, especially in the Church. Jesus said He is the same for all time, so that means that miracles do happen. In fact, salvation itself is a miracle. In Acts, there are countless accounts of miracles taking place. Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. 9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
Acts 12:21-13:7 Acts 12:21 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 22 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 23 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 24 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 25 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 26 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. Acts 13 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly.
Miracles justify to the fact that God is real. They testify that he sovereign and all-knowing. God does have all the answers. That is why need not to be ashamed of Jesus. We need to confess that He died on the cross and rose from the dead. There is so much going on in the world for us to just keep it to ourselves. Don't be afraid!
There is sin out there. The Bible says when sin abound, grace abounds even more. Psychics, New Age, Wicca, homosexuality, lying, theft, and pornography are not of God. It is not okay to do these things! They are all sins! Jesus did not die for us in vain! There are is no "it is okay for each individual". There is no such thing as individual morality. Consider these verses from Acts 24:25-27: 25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. 26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him. 27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound. ...and from Acts 26:18 "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." Paul's journey's throughout the known world at that time was not in vain. God had a job for Paul to do and Paul did not hesitate to do it. His job was to preach the Gospel and to have people saved by Jesus and baptised in His name.
Agrippa's words should be convincing enough that you can believe in God or be logically convinced in His Word and not be saved. To be saved, you have to believe on the name of Jesus Christ. You have to admit that you are a sinner. You also have to believe that Jesus died and rose on the third day. You have to believe this with all your heart and to be willing to pay the price for your beliefs, just as Paul and other believers have. Throughout chapters 12-28, Paul and fellow believers have suffered much persecution and have learned a lot of lessons along the way.
If you just believe in God, or are a backslider, or never believed in God, I ask that you pray this prayer. Just believing is not enough: "Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Forgive me of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord. I believe that you died on the cross and rose on the third day. I ask that my name be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I thank you for saving me, In Jesus's name, amen."

Testimony and Inspiration
Hello, I have been writing a testimony about my life. I first became born again in 1994. It has been an interesting journey. I thanked God and still do, thank Him for saving me. My life has had many ups and downs. My testimony will be like many Christians who have been diagnosed with an emotional disorder.
I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder on February 19, 1994. I was at first diagnosed with depression because of what has been going on with me. Within a week or two, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I was actually relieved. For a long time, I felt like I was going crazy. I had suicidal thoughts almost on a daily basis. My personality changed with my moods. My relationships with others suffered. My grades went down. I would walk out of class and oftentimes, I wouldn't make even show up for class. Not long before, I had never walked out of class unless there was an excuse such as a medical emergency. My grades were decent-I was on the honor roll. I graduated in the top 5 of my high school class. I was a happy 18-year old who enjoyed going to college. Life was good. However, I didn't know that depression during those days would be a precursor to my worst year ever.
Life became a total wreck. By this time, people began to turn on me. I have thought of elaborate ways that I wanted to die. I had a rough time dealing with what was going on around me. I began to obsess about a particular guy that I got along with. All of a sudden, a little crush turned into an obsession. I made a fool out of myself. The worst part of it was that others knew as well. Everything seemed negative. I did care about what others think. But then, I started praying a long prayer to God.
What I didn't realize is that that prayer would be the beginning to a journey that would forever change my life. Things haven't improved, not until September 10, 1994. I prayed to ask Jesus to come into my heart twice on advice of a friend. I wasn't sure if He heard me. But that day was a miracle in itself. I didn't think I was well-liked or had many friends. But then, I realized who my real friends are. I am thankful that God showed me who they were that way. I really needed them then. What I didn't realize was that I needed God. It was around 1:00 or so that afternoon and I went up to a friend's room. I knew that she was a born-again Christian and I started talking to her about all of my problems. I met two other girls, one of them was a freshmen at that time. I literally cried a river and poured out my heart. I was a lonely young woman. I knew it. Then she asked me if I believe that Jesus died for me and that if I believed that Jesus rose on the third day. I told her that I did. Then she mentioned the word "friends". It clicked. That was all I remember from that question. However, I have told her that I will get saved later on that I wanted to go somewhere. Her warning was to me that tomorrow was promised to no one. These were not her exact words, but that is what she meant. I am so glad that I did not hesitate. I prayed with her to receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I saw a mental picture of cherub-like angels on a blue background. It was a mental painting almost. Everything seemed different. Things were brighter. One of the girls remarked that I even looked different. God took my pain away. He had started me on a new journey. And for that I praise God. Life is better. I still have my share of problems, but all Christians have their share of problems. Christians will be persecuted for their faith. I went from barely reading the Bible from reading and studying the Bible daily. I prayed mostly in need, but I pray daily. I have changed. Within a year from that day, I transferred to a new school and graduated two years later. I have learned how to handle my problems better. Over time, I have grown to depend on God daily. I have become interested in different things. I have become a different person. I have become wiser, and I thank God for that. The internet has become my ministry to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. I hope that this site inspires you. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ and no longer desire to live life "as is", admit that you are sinner and that you believe with all your heart that He died on the cross and rose on the third day. All of us need forgiveness. If you are reading this and have not accepted Jesus, I ask that you pray this prayer, and mean it with all your heart: "Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Forgive me of all my sins. I receive You now as Lord and Savior. I ask that my name be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I thank you for saving me, in Jesus' name, Amen."

The Consequences of Immorality
I watched a video by Aaron Hall entitled, "Why Can't I see My Baby?" or something like that. Too often when people divorce or simply break up, children get caught up in the middle and end up being the victims. I recommend that everybody see this video. It is a sad, but beautiful video of what could happen to people who just, in simplest of terms, "need to quit". (Think Romeo and Juliet). In this video, the wife has committed adultery and the couple divorce. But the wife would not let the ex-husband see the child, but she is living with another man. Towards the end of the video, the child is accidently killed. The grieving father, played by Aaron Hall, sings about the pain of losing his child. It is a classic example of the pain of sin. There is nothing good about sin. It is cruel, deceptive, and leads in death when full-grown. In Matthew 24, Jesus said, "Because iniquity abounds, the love of many seem to wax cold." Love is something that most of us take for granted. It is a shame that gossip, feuds, insults, and unforgiveness are more commonplace than good news and love. Or is it?
We have virtually lost our minds in America and worldwide. I am not trying to judge here, because I know I will will be judged one day. But "Woe to those who call good evil and evil good." (Isaiah 5:20-21) That is exactly what is going on in this nation. If I sound homophobic, that is fine with me, as long as the Truth is told. Yes, I do believe that homosexuality is wrong. I don't believe that two people who aren't married to each other should sleep with one another, for that is fornication...or adultery if either one is married. I think pornography and profanity is wrong. I think blashpheming God is wrong, especially blaspheming the Holy Spirit, for one will not be forgiven of that sin. It is not cool to disrespect others, to disrespect one's elders, or lie, cheat, and steal, even something that one may think that person won't miss like a pencil. A little white lie is wrong. God doesn't see color in people the way we do, so why should He see color in lies? The truth is, it is not what I believe, it is what God says in His Word, the Bible.
People are important. Their needs are important. Their health and happiness are important. Family is important. But most of all, righteousness, holiness, and the value of one's soul is most important.
That has seem to be lost in this world. Respect for other people seemed to have all but diminished. I'm 30 years old and even I have noticed that. I remember when it was even legal to spank your kids..I didn't like it, but I turned out okay. My classmates and myself even read Bible stories, prayed before class, and said the Pledge of Allegiance. I am a Black-American, and my ancestors helped to build this country. Most black people's ancestors as you know did not immigrate like every one else, and they still aren't getting the respect they deserve. This country would not be as great as it is, despite all of the problems, without her African descended people and that is a fact. I have as much right to pray in school and Pledge Allegiance to the US Flag because too many black people and people of all races died for this flag. I know I am only talking about America, but when prayer was taken out of school and now people are simply trying to take God out, I believe that we are slowly losing our freedom.
God is a God of Freedom and His Word said, "If My people turn from their ways and seek My face, then I will heal their land." (2Chron. 7:14) I know that this is mainly talks about Christians and Jews, but I know that America and the rest of the world could apply this scripture to ALL of our lives. Americans are a blessed people simply because of godly people who risked their lives for others. Have you noticed that during the Civil Rights movement and during the Revolutionary War and the time of the Constitutional signing that God was the One given the glory, not man. They understood that without God, we are nothing and that nothing is impossible. I strongly believe that. People in other parts of the world are giving their lives to Jesus Christ in record numbers. They are dying for Jesus. They are literal modern day martyrs who love the Lord and desire to witness to others no matter the cost. We as Americans have lost that desire. Values matter. Character matters.
The Bible does talk about moral leadership, and we need it, Democrat, Republican, AND independent. This man grew in a generation in which prayer was taken out the schools, the Bible couldn't be read in schools, etc. This was during the 1960's, not when this man was President. Instead of dissing this man every chance we get, we ought to be praying for him, for that is also biblical. God will judge him as well as ALL of us for our deeds, good and bad. This man is not the cause of immorality in this nation. This nation has been guilty of immorality for years. His acts are/were immoral, yes, but we should be praying for him, for he is the leader of this country and those who refuse to pray for him and show hatred towards him and not just his actions will also have to answer for that, even if you call yourself a Christian. (Rev 22:12 Numbers 16 Proverbs 28 Romans 13:3-7 Romans 12:9-21 Romans 14 1-12 Romans 15)
FATHER, WHAT CAN I DO?We can all do a little something. I have to admit that I am cynical. It seems like that most people are either pretending or just mean-spirited. Hopefully, I am wrong. I know what we can all, and must do to be saved, is to admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. In other words, "Am I part of the problem or part of the solution?" Also, believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and that God rose Him on the third day with ALL of your heart. The Holy Spirit is the One who convicts us of our sins and He is the Spirit of Truth. If you believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and know that you are not saved or just aren't sure, please pray this prayer, or in your own words: "Lord Jesus Christ, I'm a sinner in need of a Savior. Forgive me of all my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for me and rose on the third day. I ask that my name be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen."

How does God view backsliders?
Luke 15:4-32 4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. 8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. 11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. 13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. 29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
Let me start off by pointing out what a backslider is. A backslider is a believer who has "returned" to the world system. He has fallen into sin and needs to repent of his or her sin. The backslider is in a dangerous place because of the choice to fall away or not living a surrendered, holy life.
As evidenced by these verses, God loves backsliders. He want us to be saved, delivered, set free. Jesus died for us so that might live with Him in Heaven. We are Jesus' joint-heirs and backsliders if they don't repent could lose their salvation and thus, their godly inheritance.
"The devil is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8) That does not mean that the devil cannot be defeated. In fact, he already is a defeated foe! That also does not mean that God has left us. The backslider is one who leaves God, but there is hope for the backslider. 1 John 9 says that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. God knows that there is not one of us who hasn't sinned, for the previous verse says that we are deceiving ourselves and the "truth is not in us".
If you have backslidden, then all you have to do is come home. Come home to Jesus. God is still merciful and gracious. Jesus is still the same; He has never changed. Come back to Him. If you are a backslider or one who has never even accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please pray this prayer, or say one similar to this one in your own words: "Lord Jesus, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Forgive me for all of my sins, for I believe that you died on the cross and rose on the third day. I believe that you died for me and for that I am thankful. I confess you as Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me. In your name, Jesus, Amen."

Leadership
What is the mark of a true leader? What is the definition of a leader? People have different ideas, but a similar concept of what a leader is, or rather what being a leader is all about. A leader is one who leads. He has people under him who are expected to follow him.
However, within the last year or so, many leaders have fallen. Leaders are men, too, not gods. Even the leaders will one day bow down to worship God. Good leaders are men and women of character and integrity. Even when they do wrong, they own up to their faults. They put the needs of others ahead of their own. Even if it is not obvious, they do the right thing.
Good leaders lead others by example. They are role models. They are to be wise and full of understanding. They are knowledgable in the affairs at hand. They are teachers. They judge fairly. They are effective. They most of all, know what is most important. Even if that leader has to risk it all or face the consequences alone.
They inspire us. They motivate us. They help us to hopefully to become leaders ourselves. They are the unselfish heroes that are oftentimes forgotten or unknown. But God knows the contributions of a good leader. They know that with being a leader comes responsibility.
Based on what I have just written, Jesus is the Ultimate example of a leader. He wasn't just a great teacher; He is the Son of God. He walked the earth a sinless man and risked His Life so that we may 'not perish, but have everlasting life'. (John 3:16) We as Christians are to follow His example. The best leaders are truthful and do not compromised, both things Jesus Christ was and still is. He is Savior and Lord. Today is the day of salvation. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
1 Sam 10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured [it] upon his head, and kissed him, and said, [Is it] not because the LORD hath anointed thee [to be] captain over his inheritance?
Isaiah 9:16 For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.
Psalm 21:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice
1Timothy2:1-2 (1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; (2) For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1 Timothy 3:2-13 (2) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; (3) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; (4) One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (5) (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) (6) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. (7) Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. (8) Likewise [must] the deacons [be] grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; (9) Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. (10) And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being [found] blameless. (11) Even so [must their] wives [be] grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. (12) Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. (13) For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus
Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's
2 Chron 21:13-15 (13) But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father's house, [which were] better than thyself: (14) Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods: (15) And thou [shalt have] great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.
Psalm 145:1-3 (1) I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. (2) Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. (3) Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness [is] unsearchable.
Romans 13:7-8 (7) Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. (8) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Romans 14:11 For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
